Learning Immersive Technology!

On Tuesday our CMO, Lisa Weeks, was a mentor at LIT!

Learning Immersive Technology is a pilot partnership between Arts Corps, Reel Grrls, Totem Star, and the students of Big Picture High School in Burien. The program responds to the need for low-income students in Seattle and South King County to gain equitable access to STEM fields. Through co-created, youth-centered workshops in Virtual/Augmented Reality, Game Design, Interactive Filmmaking, and Audio Production, as well as professional showcase opportunities.
The LIT interns have been building original immersive content for the last four months, and we are so honored to have tested it! Thank you for sharing your hard work with TurboPlay!!

Special thanks to our friends at LIT for having us part of their incredible event, and to their co-host Create33 and Madrona Venture Group!! We are so proud to help contribute to such a great cause and all the wonderful work they do!

Create33 is Seattle’s entrepreneur center, solely dedicated to advancing the success of high-growth technology startups. And Madrona Ventures: Madrona’s mission is to deliver great returns by investing in world-class technology companies. Our investors represent some of the best endowments and foundations in the country, and we are proud to support their missions by delivering great returns.

Shout out to the lovely Rebecca Lovell, Director of Create33, Tim Cullings from Oculus and the Seattle Indies! <3
